How much of Albert Haynesworth's signing bonuses

Posted in Unspecified

How much of Albert Haynesworth's signing bonuses can the Redskins recover

The practical, short term impact of the suspension of Albert Haynesworth is that by placing him on the reserve/suspended list, the Redskins now have an open active roster spot to be used on a player who may better fit their long term plans, while at the same time precluding Haynesworth from playing anywhere in 2010.

While the recovery of signing bonus is a possible outcome of the suspension, the roster management aspect of this decision could prove to be the more realistic rationale behind the decision, and any money recovered or withheld would represent an added benefit from the club's perspective. The CBA uses the terms "signing bonus allocation" and "prorated portion of his signing bonus" in discussing forfeitures, but what is not clear is if these terms mean team salary accounting proration or the proration of the bonus relative to the length of the contract.

Using the team salary accounting proration interpretation, because the Redskins restructured Haynesworth's deal to preclude the $21 million signing bonus from prorating into Nike NFL Jerseys future years, the "signing bonus allocation" in 2010 is the full $21 million. Adding in the $1 million of 2010 signing bonus proration from his 2009 $5 million signing bonus, the total would Wholesale Jerseys China be $22 million of recoverable money.

Using the proration of signing bonus relative to the length of the contract interpretation, regardless of the team salary accounting of the signing bonus, the $21 million signing bonus would be prorated over the six remaining years of the deal, resulting in a "signing bonus allocation" in 2010 of $3.5 million plus $714,000 prorated over seven years from his 2009 signing bonus. The total would then be $4.2 million of recoverable money.

An arbitrator's interpretation of these CBA terms will determine how much the Redskins can recover. Once the recoverable money ambiguity is resolved, based upon the facts of the case and the CBA, it will be determined whether 0%, 25%, 100%, or 4/17th (where 4/17th represents the number of weeks missed as a result of Haynesworth's default) of the recoverable money will have to be repaid.

The Haynesworth grievance could very well set the precedent for the next CBA as it relates to signing bonus forfeiture language.

now i can't say for sure, not having read albert's contract, but i bet there's nothing in there about him only playing DT in a 4 3. and i would say not playing the position your coach wants you to is "conduct detrimental to the team".

since albert is so useless as trade bait, let's really stick it to him. and i'm pretty darn sure he'll cooperate with my evil plan by being a selfish baby and bastard. next year, if he misses any mandatory workouts, suspend him. if he refuses to play in "okie" formations, suspend wholesale nfl jerseys him. if he Cheap NFL Jerseys does play, but "dogs" it that's "detrimental" suspend him. if he refuses to listen to coaches, suspend him. if he loafs during wind sprints, suspend him. you get the idea.

we don't want to get rid of him and 1)give him what he wants and 2)have to play against a team w/him on it.

of course this all goes out the window if we get a trade offer from outside the division commensurate with his talent 1st round pick, or possibly a high second rounder. short of that, i say we stick it to him let him waste the last few productive years of his career.

sorry. i know this is probably not the most logical course to pursue, and maybe by next spring or whenever i'll be able to think rationally about this and change my mind, but boy it sure would feel good to f with al this way.

Shanahan didn't "turn him into" anything. He is what he is. Shanahan gave him a chance to get better and he wasn't up to the challenge. Go back and study your Sally Jenkins. It really would have sucked to have the last 6 years of his contract on books factored in with 6 years worth of signing bonuses taking up cap space. This could be the one factor that led Snyder to "gamble" on giving Haynesworth suge a Wholesale Jerseys large contract. He probably Nike NFL Jerseys Wholesale knew all along that the CBA talks would be stalled and he would have an out. While a lot of money is lost and stuck Nike NFL Jerseys sales in Haynesworths pockets, there is no future detriment to the TEAM's future cap space (if there will indeed be a salary cap). The only damage is to Snyder's pocketbook. Yay team.

According to team officials, fans are invited to bring indelible markers to the stadium for this Sunday's game, and write their farewell messages to Albert on the doors of all stadium bathrooms which Nike NFL Jerseys Cheap will then be collected and hinged together into a giant sized fold out metal card for the defensive lineman.

Sanders enter Hall of Fame

When Sharpe headed to Savannah State, all he heard was how he was destined to fail.

"When people told me I'd never make it, I listened to the one person who said I could: me," Sharpe said.

Failure? Sharpe went from a seventh round draft pick to the most prolific tight end of his time. He won two Super Bowls with Denver and one with Baltimore, and at the time of his retirement in 2003, his 815 career receptions, 10,060 yards and 62 TDs were all NFL records for a tight end. Three times he went over 1,000 yards receiving in a season almost unheard of for that position. In a 1993 playoff game, Sharpe had 13 catches against Oakland, tying a record.

Sharpe patted his bust on the head Saturday before Colin Kaepernick Jersey saying, "All these years later, it makes me proud when people call me a self made man."

In a captivating acceptance speech, Sharpe passionately made a pitch to get his brother, Sterling, who played seven years with the Packers, considered for election to the NaVorro Bowman Authentic Jersey shrine. Sterling, who introduced his younger brother for induction, wept as Shannon praised him.

"I am the only player who has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and am the second best player in my family," Sharpe said.

"I am so honored. You don't know what this means for me. This is the fraternity of all fraternities."

Faulk was the running back of running backs for much of his 12 season career.

As versatile and dangerous a backfield threat as the NFL has seen, Faulk was voted the NFL's top offensive player in 1999, 2000 and 2001, and was the NFL's MVP in 2000. He NaVorro Bowman Youth Jersey was the league's scoring leader in 2000 and '01, made seven Pro Bowls, and was the first player to gain 2,000 yards from scrimmage in four consecutive years.

The second overall draft pick in 1994, when Faulk was offensive rookie of the year, he played five seasons in Indianapolis, then his final seven for St. Louis, helping the Rams to their only Super Bowl victory in 1999.

Through tears, Faulk said, "Boy this is pretty special. . I am glad to be a part of it. This is football heaven.

"I am a football fan just like all of you," Faulk told the crowd. "I have always, always been a fan and had an abiding passion and love and respect for this game of football, Colin Kaepernick Red Jersey even when I was a kid selling popcorn in the Superdome because I couldn't afford a ticket."

Dent was a dynamic pass rusher on one of the NFL's greatest defenses, the 1985 NFL champions. He was the MVP of that Super Bowl and finished with 137 career sacks, third all time when he left the sport.

He epitomized the Monsters of the Midway: fast, fierce and intimidating.

"Richard was like a guided missile," Joe Gilliam, Dent's college coach, said during his introduction.

"You must dream and you must be dedicated to something in your life," added Dent, who asked everyone in the audience to rise in applause for Gilliam, then thanked dozens of people, including many from the '85 Bears who also were in the stadium. He saved his highest praise for the late Walter Payton.

"When you have dreams, it is very tough to say you can do everything by yourself," Dent said. "It's all about other people."

Sabol made a life out of telling other people's stories.

An aspiring filmmaker, Sabol approached Commissioner Pete Rozelle offering to double the rights fee for filming the 1962 NFL championship game between the Packers and Giants. Rozelle accepted the $3,000 and a wildly successful marriage was formed.

Seated in a wheelchair, the 94 year old Sabol said he "dreamt the impossible dream, and I'm living it right at this minute."

"This honor tonight really goes to NFL Films, I just happen to be accepting all the accolades," Sabol added.

Sabol's son, Steve, who replaced him as president of the company, introduced his father, about whom he said, "My sisters used to say my dad was two stooges short of a good routine. He loved to entertain."

McCown Set To Start At QB For Bears Vs Packers

McCown Set To Start At QB For Bears Vs Packers CBS Houston

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) Josh McCown thinks he up to a task no Chicago Bears quarterback, Vernon Davis Red Jersey starter or backup, has been able to handle in recent years.

McCown is starting in place of injured Jay Cutler on Monday night at Lambeau Field against a Green Bay defense that has dominated the Bears since Dom Capers became the Packers defensive coordinator.

feel like we be ready to put our best foot forward as good as we ever have here in the past, McCown said Thursday. obviously gives you a comfort level as a quarterback going into this game. recent history, it easy for the Bears Justin Smith Jersey to believe their backup gives them no worse a chance to beat a team they lost to six straight times. In fact, it was McCown who led the Bears offense to its greatest point production against Green Bay since 2008 a 35 21 loss to the Packers Justin Smith Kids Jersey at Lambeau Field in 2011.

remember that we lost, that would be first thing, said McCown, who has had two weeks of preparation after a bye.

McCown, who led the Bears to 24 points Oct. 20 against Washington after Cutler tore a groin muscle, completed 19 of 28 passes for 242 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in the 2011 game at Green Bay.

Cutler passer rating against the Packers is 54.8, with eight TD passes, 17 interceptions and one win in eight starts.

There is a difference between the two quarterbacks, requiring an adjustment for receivers that the numbers can explain.

is Chad Pennington and Jay Cutler is Vernon Davis Womens Jersey Brett Favre, Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall said. totally different. Chad Pennington great teammate, awesome guy. You get on the field, you not even 3 yards to your break point and the ball already in the air. Josh is going to have that ball in the air before you even turn your head.

has such a strong arm, he has room to play with as far as the timing goes. Jay has a special arm that I don think many guys have in the NFL. least this time, McCown has had a full offseason and training camp to be ready for the Packers. He recalled his last start against them after being signed off waivers during a late season Bears collapse when Cutler broke his thumb. It was his first start after Caleb Hanie had failed as backup.

certainly been nice to go through the offseason this time around, and be in the system, no doubt, he said. a fun system for quarterbacks. It really is.

seen obviously Jay so far this season play at a very efficient level. If you just trust your preparation, what (quarterbacks) coach (Matt) Cavanaugh and coach (Marc) Trestman have asked us to do, you can play productive football. You can play efficient football and move your team. That the idea. McCown knowledge of the offense is expected to be high, so is his leadership in the huddle.

is the kind of leader as the backup quarterback; he quietly transcends our locker room in a lot of different ways because of his experience and just the kind of person he is, Trestman said of the 11 year veteran. he just moved into the position where he got to take the snaps, but it really hasn changed the type of leader that he is or the way that he goes about doing business.

just, on a play by play basis, communicating more directly with the guys because they running those plays with him. admitted ending the streak can look like an impossible task.

can be a sense of how are we going to do this? McCown said. they have lost games, people have beat them. It just taking it a play at a time and focusing on what you have to do that play. Cornerback Charles Tillman did not practice Thursday for personal reasons. Tillman missed the last half against the Redskins and has been slowed by a knee injury, but Trestman is confident he have Tillman available Monday. Gunners fire four past Canaries

Gunners fire four past Canaries

Arsenal moved clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League with a 4 1 win over Norwich at the Emirates Stadium, where Jack Wilshere had scored a contender for goal of the season.

The Gunners capitalised on Liverpool's draw at Newcastle with what proved to be a hard earned victory over a determined Norwich side, who could consider themselves unfortunate not to take something from the match despite the final scoreline.

In the end, though, it was Arsenal's class which told, as Wilshere opened the scoring with a sublime finish to a slick passing move which had cut Norwich open on 18 minutes.

After soaking up plenty of pressure, Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil headed in a second just before the hour, but Jonny Howson reduced the deficit.

Arsenal, though, made sure there would be no late drama when Aaron Ramsey, who has started on the bench, fired past John Ruddy from close range after jinking into the six yard box.

Ozil stroked in a late fourth to ensure a somewhat flattering scoreline, but it was more evidence this Arsenal side look set for a long overdue sustained title challenge in 2014.

As expected, Arsenal made a bright start, with a low shot from fit again Santi Cazorla saved by goalkeeper Ruddy, one of several players hopeful of impressing watching England manager Roy Hodgson.

Norwich, who has lost four of their opening seven Premier League games to sit in the bottom three, were without club record signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel, who had been struggling with a toe injury.

Nevertheless, the Canaries looked to be in a positive mindset with Scotland winger Robert Snodgrass, who scored against Croatia and recently became a father, the main outlet down the right.

Arsenal, though, swept into the lead on 18 minutes with a goal of the highest order.

Norwich had plenty of men behind the ball as Cazorla pressed at the edge of the penalty area.

It did not matter, however, as a sublime series of one touch passes simply cut through the yellow shirts like butter.

First Cazorla pulled the ball back out to Wilshere, who played a quick pass into Giroud. His return pass was then flicked straight back by the England man, and in turn touched forwards Patrick Willis Authentic Jersey by the France striker into Wilshere's path as he carried onto to the six yard box before clipping a low first time shot past Ruddy.

There was a stoppage just after the half hour following what looked a nasty clash of heads between Mathieu Flamini and Alex Tettey, but both men were soon back up on their feet.

Ruddy denied Giroud with a brilliant reflex save at his near post following a run and cross down the left by Kieran Gibbs.

On 38 minutes, Flamini was replaced by Ramsey, the French midfielder still feeling the after effects of his clash with Tettey.

A looping cross from Norwich defender Russell Martin's was palmed away by Wojciech Szczesny, who had been a spectator up to now.

The Poland goalkeeper, who played well at Wembley despite the 2 0 defeat by England, was tested again by a low 20 yard effort from Leroy Fer.

Norwich had another good chance at the start of the second half when a deep free kick was headed back by Michael Turner to Martin. However, the Scotland defender sliced the ball horribly wide from 15 yards.

Arsenal, though, looked to have settled matters with another goal of high quality.

After soaking up plenty of Norwich pressure, the home side broke with devastating consequences on 58 minutes.

Cazorla sprinted into the opposition half before he fed Mike Iupati Jersey Giroud on the right. The France international looked up and chipped a perfectly weighted ball across the Norwich penalty area, where Ozil arrived on queue to get in between the defenders and glance a header into the far corner.

Nevertheless, the Canaries still refused to go away and their industry was rewarded with 20 minutes left when Howson drove the ball in at the far post after Mike Iupati Womens Jersey Martin Olsson's left wing cross was Patrick Willis Red Jersey only half cleared.

Arsenal clearly needed a third to finally kill off the game.

Ruddy saved a 20 yard thunderbolt from Ramsey before the England squad keeper then denied substitute Nicklas Bendtner.

Ramsey settled any late nerves when he cut into the six yard box and fired past Ruddy, who was beaten again two minutes from time by Ozil's tap in from a cutback by the Wales midfielder at the far post.

Drew Brees deserves to be in conversation for NFL MVP

Drew Brees deserves to be in conversation for NFL MVP

Drew Brees finds himself in a familiar spot as he prepares for the New Orleans Saints' showdown with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday.

He's a leading contender to win the NFL's Most Valuable Player Award. And once again, his main competition is New Orleans native and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.

By all accounts, New Orleans' favorite Saint and favorite son are running neck and neck ahead of the field for the league's most prestigious individual honor.

Manning looms a prodigious presence. He has won the award an unprecedented four times and is again having an MVP worthy season. He leads the NFL in nearly every passing category, including a gaudy 114.5 passer efficiency rating.

Going head to head with Manning for the MVP award is like competing with Meryl Streep for Best Actress. More often not, you find yourself Susan Lucci'd.

Manning appeared a shoo in Michael Crabtree Jersey after his strong start. But his passing pace has slowed in recent weeks, and a disappointing loss at New England in which the Broncos squandered a 24 0 lead didn't help his cause.

Brees, meanwhile, has led the Saints to consecutive wins against the Cowboys, 49ers and Falcons. He's gaining momentum at just the right Frank Gore Authentic Jersey time. And the primetime stage against the 10 1 Seahawks provides the perfect forum to make his mark.

The MVP is the only significant honor remaining for Brees in his Hall of Fame career. He's been named the Super Bowl MVP, Man of the Year, All Pro and the Offensive Player of the Year twice.

Twenty six quarterbacks have been named MVP since the Associated Press started awarding it in 1957.

In fact, Brees just might be the greatest quarterback in NFL history to not win the honor. Roger Staubach, Dan Fouts and Sammy Baugh never were named MVP. And Baugh (1937 1952) was never eligible, having played before the MVP was awarded. But with all due respect, none of those men approached Brees' prolificacy under center.

Brees hasn't had much luck when it comes to the award. His greatest seasons have coincided with some of the greatest years in recent NFL history. In 2011, when he broke Dan Marino's record for passing yardage and Ken Anderson's mark for completion percentage, Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers bettered him with the most statistically efficient passing season ever (an NFL record 122.5 passer rating). In 2009, Brees led the Saints to a historic 13 0 mark only to upstaged by Manning, who one upped him by going 14 0 with the Colts.

Brees is quietly having another monster year. Entering Week 13, his 3,647 passing yards, 28 touchdown passes and 107.3 passer rating trail only Manning.

The 107.0 passer rating is a key figure.

In the modern era, 14 quarterbacks have recorded passer efficiency ratings of 107 or higher in a season. Of those, nine have been rewarded with MVP awards:

Rodgers in 2011 with a 122.5 rating.

Marino (108.9) in 1984.

Of the five QBs with 107 ratings who fell short, four came in seasons when other QBs were simply beter. Brees and Brett Favre (107.2) were also rans to Manning in 2009. And Daunte Culpepper had the Frank Gore Red Jersey misfortune of posting his career best season (110.9) in the same year Manning went off in 2004. And as previously mentioned, Brees fell short of Manning's Michael Crabtree Red Jersey miraculous season in 2011.

It would be almost criminal for Brees to have a third monster season and not be rewarded.

I know one thing. I wouldn't bet against Brees. He and Saints coach Sean Payton live for these moments. Brees has won nine consecutive games on "Monday Night Football." In those games, he's completed 224 of 312 passes (71.8 percent) for 2,880 yards (320 per game) with 28 touchdowns and five interceptions. His passer efficiency rating is 123.6.

A big performance against the league's top ranked team on a primetime stage could vault him ahead of Manning and into the lead. An upset on a field where no team has won in more than two years would bolster his Q Rating with voters.

The ultimate team player, Brees would rather take a blindside hit than talk about individual honors, especially with the season's biggest game looming. But, make no mistake, he would love to win it. He appreciates NFL history more than most players and understands the significance of the honor.

Latino NFL Greats And Super Bowl Stars

Latino NFL Greats And Super Bowl Stars PHOTOS

With all the attention that New York Giants' emerging star receiver, Victor Cruz, is receiving these days both for being a local New Jersey boy 'done good', and for his effusive salsa dancing in the end zone people may forget that the NFL has been home to Anthony Davis Authentic Jersey many great Latino players, including a good number of Hall of Famers and a couple of Super Bowl stars.

For starters, this weekend's super match pits two boricuas, Cruz with the NY Giants, and his New England Patriots' counterpart, tight end Aaron Hern Either could be breakout stars and be key to their team's victory.

Going as far back as 1935, when Aldo Richins, of Mexico, played in the NFL Championship with the Detroit Lions, the top levels of football competition have included Hispanics. Fellow Mexican born Tom Fears, a member Anthony Davis Youth Jersey of both, the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame, played in the 1951 NFL Championship, further cementing the burgeoning fandom for NFL football with our neighbors to the south.

During the 1970's and 1980's, perhaps the heyday of classic rough and tumble football, Ted Hendricks, of Guatemala, was affirming his place as one of the greatest linebackers to ever play. He starred in four Super Bows one with the Baltimore Colts, and three with the Raiders also being inducted into the College and NFL Halls of Fame after retiring in 1983.

More recently, stars like Max Montoya and Anthony Mu both playing with the Cincinnati Bengals established Latinos as great linemen. Since 2000, Latinos have also stepped up on the offensive side of things, with quartebacks Jeff Garcia (San Francisco 49ers and four other teams to date) and Mark Sanchez (New York Jets), and receivers like Cruz and Hernandez, showing that just as in every other facet of American life, no football team is truly complete Aldon Smith Jersey without Aldon Smith Womens Jersey some Latino talent and energy.

Fantasy football week 13 starters

Posted in Unspecified

Fantasy football week 13 starters

Thanksgiving Weekend marks the annual "Thinning of the Fantasy Herd", where about 1/3 of teams in a given league will begin to slack off on setting lineups, leave injured players active, and never look at matchups that would improve their chances at winning. Where they land on your schedule is out of your control, but the effect of their slacking off creates opportunity.

The injury bug doesn't watch the calendar, but the number of people in line to grab up replacements is down.

If you have the Nike NFL Jerseys sales players you need, you can now focus on matchups. If you are numbers focused, the last five weeks of the season generally favor home teams at just short of a 60/40 split. Once you decide which team will win, then the stats can tell you how. The Patriots will win with virtually no help from the run game. The Chiefs and Bengals score just enough to win with a turnover creating DEF. Keep the perceptions you have of those teams in mind Wholesale Jerseys China when setting your lineup.

Start 'Em or Sit 'Em:

Thursday Games (!)

Green Bay at Detroit Turkey Bowl games typically start slow, then about half the time turn into shootouts. Detroit's passing attack is designed to win that type of game.

Oakland at Dallas Two teams that have been unsuccessful at getting out of their own way this season meet up in the Billionaire's Colossal Coliseum in Dallas this week. The Raiders will end up road kill in this one, unless Tony Romo gets crushed by a Cheap NFL Jerseys late hit to the sternum. Bet against any Raider getting close enough to get a chance to inflict said injury, and start every Cowboy that sees half the offensive snaps. No DAL players on this side. Both of these teams are 5 6, and both are in a six way tie for the last playoff spot, with three more teams one game back. With tiebreakers in play, the consensus is that the winner of this game is a likely candidate for the chance to get curb stomped in the playoffs by New England or the Chiefs. The only strong Start I see for either team is their DEF's. This one will be a slugout. TD's will come after long drives in the darkness, and QB's will get sacked often. Sit PIT QB Ben Roethlisberger, RB LeVeon Bell, WR's Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery. BAL QB Joe Flacco, RB Ray Rice, everyone not named WR Torrey Smith. I don't recommend Smith, but he's too good to sit for most of the teams that have him.

Sunday Games

Jacksonville at Cleveland one player in this matchup ranks in the Top 20 at his position by stats: CLE WR Josh Gordon. Remember all of those teams tied at 5 6 in the AFC? These are not them. This game has the potential to be very sloppy, but not due to weather. Yup, that's it. That means he will not lose his cool this week, but he wants to run it up on a good defensive team within his own division. After a sound a whoopin' last week, expect fireworks. Titan QB's Wholesale Jerseys Jake Locker (injured) and Ryan Fitzpatrick have eerily similar stats on the year, despite Fitzpatrick getting one more full game than Locker. If Indy's secondary lays another egg, this game could not have a higher over/under. This one will scream offense, and the up the field kind, from both teams. Hilton, TE Coby Fleener. Sit TEN WR Nate Washington, both team's DEF. Louis' vaunted running attack of three guys no one drafted this past week.

Why the tie and not the win? Well, they're the Vikings. That's the way it plays out. pray for not losing. Jets It's another 5 6 bowl! Both teams are playing for their coach's jobs (good luck with wholesale nfl jerseys that), and both teams are playing for a crack at a playoff berth. Rain is possible, but won't alter the second tier football they'll play at the new Meadowlands. I'm not saying this for effect. Do not start anyone from this game. I like MIA QB Ryan Tannehill plenty in terms of potential and all, but I think the Jets' D is going to hit him a lot. Might not rack up more than a sack or two, but they'll put shoulders into rib cages. Miami has no running game after the Martin/Incognito implosion. Just stay away if at all possible. ARI QB Carson Palmer will score Fantasy points with efficient passing, but it won't be enough to keep up.

Tampa Bay at Carolina The Mike Glennon League Endorsed Breakout continues in Carolina. There are several guys on both sides who can (and should) play to elite stats, but these division rivals always play weirdly physical games that defy their records. Carolina is playing for the division, as they trail the Saints by just a game, but the Bucs DEF is capable, as they showed last week against the Lions. Winning seven straight and eight of nine is a sign that things are good for the Panthers, but fortune also dropped them into tight wins against two good teams, and a great schedule to get hot with. Am I predicting the Bucs suddenly are good enough for this win? Doesn't matter; Fantasy scoring is coming out of this one in droves. Sit anyone else from Tampa that you might have, including the kicker. CAR WR Steve Smith will not thrive without someone to jaw at, and he knows not to test Darrelle Revis, plus sit RB DeAngelo Williams. The team has 11 rushing TD's. Newton has five, and FB Mike Tolbert has 4. Your starting RB has only 2 rushing scores after 11 weeks? No, thank Nike NFL Jerseys Cheap you.

New England at Houston Brevity: This will be ugly for the home team. A solid defense has been reduced to respectable, due to never leaving the field. Brady and Co. WR Andre Johnson will struggle a bit, but could be near his average. Sit NE WR Danny Amendola, RB's Brandon Bolden, LeGarrette Blount and Steven Ridley (if you have to start one, go against convention. Pick Blount.

Atlanta at Buffalo Two non issue teams playing out a very long string. Ugh. Spiller. Louis at San Francisco The Niners' defense is currently passing out drool bibs for their upcoming matchup against Kellen Clemens. Don't anticipate a repeat of the Rams' outburst against Detroit last week on the ground. I don't bet directly on Nike NFL Jerseys Wholesale games, but I cannot imagine a way that St. Louis scores 20, or holds SF under 28.

Denver at Kansas City A rematch of two teams that demolished the rest of the league, this time played at Arrowhead Stadium. KC's defense will show Nike NFL Jerseys up for this one, and Denver's DEF better do the same, or their season could come to a disappointing ending. They don't turn the ball over.

Cincinnati at San Diego Only people in Cincinnati will get to see this game, since the DEN/KC game is on the same network. Too bad. This might be the most competitive game on the slate. A solid defense in Cincinnati faces off against an improving offensive unit led by a savvy pro. Giants at Washington Another division rivalry between two teams that cannot stick their head above water these days. The only guarantees out of these two teams are a solid running game and an abysmal night at QB for one of them.

Monday Night Matchup

This is the last week of the regular season for about a third of your fellow players. Send 'em home with a lump on their Fantasy noggins.

I believe that professional athletes are drastically overpaid. We see athletes getting paid millions of dollars just to throw or kick a ball. I mean what importance are they to society beyond entertainment? They aren't. I think that the athletes being overpaid issue begins in school with high school and college. Schools place an emphasis on Aldon Smith Jersey sports, making students neglects their studies and grades because it is reinforced that from a young age that supports are an important Anthony Davis Womens Jersey part of life. Students who excel in sports have inflated egos because the schools are telling them that they are good at sports and should focus on it.

I am disabled and participated in many high school academic activities and competitions. Many able bodied students also were involved with these activities. I remember lots of times when the teacher advisors for these activities try to ask the school district for our money to run our activities, including transportation, supplies, promotion, among other things. Most of the time the school gave us a limited budget or not at all, while sports was well funded and received funds at the snap of the coaches' fingers. What does this tell students? It tells them that it pays to play sports more than it does to use one's mind to compete. I think this is the sad reality of school life.

High school athletes see professional athletes on TV received millions of dollars in salaries and the idolization my millions of fans. This makes them really want to become professional athletes later in life and so they neglect their studies and focus on sports.

During the junior and senior years of high school, the college recruiters start looking for great athletes to sign up with their college to play sports for large amounts of money. The colleges bribe the athletes with scholarships, cars, money, and many other perks to go to their schools. Of course, to young people at this age, the lure of big money and fame is a great attraction for them and they will aim for it.

Then, once the athletes are in college, the schools encourage Aldon Smith Youth Jersey athletes to become stars in sports competitions. Some schools will force athletes to maintain a minimal grade point average in order to play sports but it's very low, like a C, which is mediocre at best.

Many professional sports promoters will start looking at high school or college athletes to have them sign on as professional athletes in their organizations. Many high school and collegiate athletes will drop out of school because the school only gives them the hope of a job with a salary of under six figures a year later on in their professional career. Professional sports gives them a six or seven figure salary immediately, so the allure is great to become a professional athlete and to quit and education which will give them a comparatively lower salary.

Do professional athletes deserve such high salaries as this? I don't believe so. Many of them are not even great role models outside of the sport. Take Pac Man Jones and Michael Vick as examples.

Pac Man is a professional football player who received a $6 million bonus in 2005 to play for the Tennessee Titans. Jones was arrested at least 6 times and questioned by police 11 times since 2005. He has been arrested for assault at nightclubs, death threats, and not reporting to his parole officer. In February 2007 at a club, an altercation ensued and it is believed that one of Jones' entourage brought in a gun and fired into a crowd, hitting three people, including the security guard. The guard was shot twice, and one of the people hit was paralyzed from the waist down. Based on his legal troubles, he was suspended for the entire 2007 season.

Even though he was suspended and faced jail time, he was given tons of money to appear on pro wrestling. He was not allowed to be touched her to touch the wrestlers, so it was just for show. It reinforces the idea that professional athletes can be horrible people outside the sport and still get paid millions of dollars just to show up on sports shows.

Everyone knows the story about Michael Vick, the Atlanta Falcons football star that was running dogfights at some of his houses. In 2004, he signed a 10 year contract with the Falcons for $130 million and a $37 million signing bonus, making him the highest paid player in NFL history.

With such a high salary, why did Michael Vick have to resort to dogfighting? It just makes no sense and makes it all the more deplorable because he didn't have to do it for the money, yet he still did. What does this tell other professional athletes? It tells them that they don't have to follow the rules like normal people in its society.

I am sure that many more professional athletes are just as bad as Jones and Vick but they just haven't been caught yet.

I see other people arguing that, since the sports organizations are receiving so much money in advertising revenue, the athletes deserve to be paid millions of dollars as their share of the revenue. I disagree because the revenue could be used for other things, like better education for athletes and people in general. Athletes don't deserve millions of dollars when intellectual jobs and careers, which are more important to society, don't even pay half as much. I think that it is bad to pay athletes this amount of money because it only makes the young people of today aim for an easy job has Anthony Davis Red Jersey athlete without needing the extra work of an education.

Sometimes the sports are more dangerous than others and, I suppose, deserve a little bit more pay than other sports but remains of dollars is way out of the question. Sports like baseball or basketball are not that dangerous. I mean how many athletes are disabled by a baseball or basketball hoops? Athletes play dangerous sports for the money, not for any other reason, so it is a greedy career which helps no one but the promoters and athlete's pockets.

I think that dangerous jobs, such as the military and firefighters, deserve more pay than professional athletes because their jobs actually protect us and save lives. This needs to be taking into consideration when deciding on the different levels of pay deserved to be paid for different careers. I think that sports should be at the bottom of the pay scale simply because of the inherent value and benefit to society is very low for professional athletes.

"It's been working for them all year, why change it now?"

It does seems tough for defenses to get their hands on McPeak and Thomas. Battaglia counts three Elmira linemen in the 280 pound range.

"This will be a big game for me and (Aquinas senior) Emelio Zuniga," Holley said. "They like to make sure that the defensive tackles get pushed and there's no penetration in the backfield."

The Aquinas defense had coaches in Section V schools shaking their heads, the Little Irish were so impressive. They most points allowed by Aquinas was 21 until last week.

The Aquinas offense made sure that it would not matter by Carlos Hyde Authentic Jersey rarely sputtering against Jamestown. Its performance Eric Reid Womens Jersey fell short of record breaking in some cases, including 522 yards of offense.

Sophomore quarterback Jake Zembiec impressed with four touchdown passes, compiling 313 yards on 20 of 35 passing. The record for most passing yards in a Section V vs. Section VI regional game is 349 by 2002 Aquinas quarterback Mark Zappia.

If there is too much rain to throw the ball, the Little Irish have and will turn to 210 Carlos Hyde Kids Jersey pound senior Luch Pietropaolo (12 touchdowns, 1,033 yards).

"That kid (at Jamestown) was a legit quarterback and we knew they had three good receivers," Battaglia said. "That's why I went for it with a minute left in the first half. I still didn't think 20 6 was enough.

"It's not a bunch of little guys acting together (at Elmira). They get a Eric Reid Youth Jersey lot of push. We're going to do what we do, be balanced. We're going to run the ball and use the quarterback as much as we can, because he's pretty darn good.".

Speech Differences and Stutter

Famous People Speech Differences and StutterBy Disabled World 2008 01 15A list of well known and famous people who have and had speech differences including stuttering.

Stuttering, also known as stammering in the United Kingdom, is a speech disorder in which the flow of speech is disrupted by involuntary repetitions and prolongations of sounds, syllables, words or phrases, and involuntary silent pauses or blocks in which the stutterer is unable to produce sounds.

Stuttering is generally not a problem with the physical production of speech sounds or putting thoughts into words. Despite popular perceptions to the contrary, stuttering does not affect and has no bearing on intelligence.

The disorder is also variable, which means that in certain situations, such as talking on the telephone, the stuttering might be more severe or less, depending on the anxiety level connected with that activity.

The severity of a stutter is often not constant even for severe stutterers. Stutterers commonly report dramatically increased fluency when talking in unison with another speaker, copying another's speech, whispering, singing, and acting or when talking to pets, young children, or themselves.

In rare cases, stuttering may be acquired in adulthood as the result of a neurological event such as a head injury, tumour, stroke or drug abuse/misuse.
